Job Description

Job Overview Johnson & Johnson Health Care Compliance (HCC) is recruiting a Health Care Compliance Officer (HCCO) to support Innovative Medicine Research & Development (IM R&D), Office of the Chief Medical Officer (OCMO), and External Scientific Innovation (ESI) based in North America. The role reports directly to the HCC Director, Innovative Medicine Research & Development, North America, and is based in Titusville, NJ. Responsibilities Assess IM R&D business activities for compliance risk by interpreting company policies, procedures, ethical standards, and applicable federal, state, local laws and industry codes, ensuring adherence to internal processes and requirements. Provide guidance, policy interpretations, and recommended action plans to business partners at all levels to ensure compliance while achieving intended objectives. Drive and enhance the compliance program through continuous risk assessment, accurate documentation, problem identification, corrective actions & controls implementation, oversight & monitoring, investigations, and follow‑ups within HCC processes and systems. Assess compliance‑related educational needs, formulate, and facilitate training programs for all employees, agents, affiliated providers, or others working with the business. Communicate company health‑care compliance standards and updates on new laws and guidance to committee members, key business partners, and agencies. Address instances of non‑compliance and ensure consistency in disciplinary actions according to HCC Human Resources and Law Department mechanisms. Proactively identify, build, and implement process improvement opportunities, including technology solutions using AI, to automate routine tasks and strengthen compliance processes. Experience and Skills Required Fluency in English; additional market‑specific languages preferred. Bachelor’s degree; minimum 5 years of business‑related experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in the healthcare industry with knowledge of Health Care Compliance programs, federal health care programs, and FDA requirements. Strong track record working in a collaborative, matrixed environment with demonstrated evidence of maintaining relationships and partnerships with peers and business partners. Broad business experience and a proven ability to influence decisions to drive compliant growth. Demonstrated ability to identify and initiate process enhancements using technology solutions, test and learn new solutions through AI and technology support partnerships aligned to compliance and business needs. Ability to analyze data and trends and communicate complex information to all levels of the company. Working knowledge of R&D and commercial sales and marketing business strategies and tactics executed with scientific and commercial healthcare customers. May require approximately 10% domestic travel; position located in Titusville, NJ. Preferred Experience working with governmental regulatory bodies and managing HCC company policies. Experience developing and implementing compliance program elements according to an organization’s risk profile. Benefits Base pay range: $102,000 – $177,100. Consolidated retirement plan (pension) and 401(k) savings plan. Long‑term incentive program eligibility. Vacation: 120 hours per calendar year. Sick time: 40 hours per calendar year (48 hours for Colorado residents, 56 hours for Washington residents). Holiday pay, including floating holidays: 13 days per calendar year. Work, personal, and family time: up to 40 hours per calendar year. Parental leave: 480 hours within one year of birth/adoption/foster care. Bereavement leave: 240 hours for an immediate family member; 40 hours for an extended family member per year. Caregiver leave: 80 hours in a 52‑week rolling period. Volunteer leave: 32 hours per calendar year. Military spouse time‑off: 80 hours per calendar year.
