Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Sterile Tech Specialty: Central Sterile Processing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evenings Hours per Shift: 8 hours, M-F 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, with rare weekend need Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: None required Certifications: HSPA CRCST or CBSPD, BLS (AHA or ARC) Must-Have: Must have 2 years of SPD experience. Must have experience working with Neuro, Ortho, and DaVinci Robotics. Must have experience with SQ Track. Will accept first-time travelers. Prefer someone with experience in a large hospital rather than a surgery center. Description: Decontaminate, inspect, and assemble surgical instruments. Operate washers and sterilizers. Monitor sterilization cycles and indicators. Maintain accurate records. Store and distribute sterile items. Ensure compliance with infection control and regulatory standards. Day shift SPD role will be in Decon, but potential to float throughout the line. Coverage includes all services: Neuro, Ortho, DaVinci, General, Pediatric cases, and more. Case load includes 60-70 cases per day, with 8-10 DaVinci cases and Mako for Ortho. Common equipment includes Sterrad, VPro Max 2, Belimed, Getinge, and Steris sterilizers. Tracking system used is SQ Track. Travelers may experience some changes while on assignment due to ongoing facility workflow improvements. Facility is busy with some space constraints and is situated in an area with plenty of outdoor activities. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 cancellations per contract, and the facility may pay full hours for canceled shifts.
